Third Party Monitoring for Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (LPRES)

World Bank / Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security

The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) is a six-year development initiative supported by the World Bank in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

The project aims to transform Nigeria’s livestock sector by improving productivity, strengthening livestock value chains, and enhancing resilience to environmental, economic, and social challenges. It focuses on modernizing livestock production systems through investments in infrastructure, animal health services, improved genetics, biosecurity measures, and capacity development for farmers and institutions.

The third-party monitoring exercise was conducted by Maxvidel to independently assess project implementation, verify infrastructure development and service delivery, evaluate beneficiary support mechanisms, and ensure compliance with environmental and social safeguards across the participating states.
